Grass Valley, California, L/CPL Gary Ames Miller Vietnam War Memorial Bridge, Brunswick Road overpass crossing over state highway 49. The memorial plaque is located on the northwest end of the bridge.

Lance Corporal Gary Ames Miller, United States Marine Corps, was the first Nevada County, California, casualty in the Vietnam War. L/CPL Miller was killed in action by small arms fire on June 1, 1966 in Quang Tin, Vietnam. L/CPL Miller’s name is on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., panel 08E, line 101.
