The high cross monument was erected by the Celtic Heritage foundation in 1997. The inscription reads, "We remember those who have gone before, those who stand here now and those of generations yet to come. To the Celts who came in faith and hope, who shared dreams and sorrows, we dedicate this monument. We, the Celts, are here." Wow, what a fantastic inscription.
I do not know if the picture does the cross justice but I was able to see it clear across the park, about 400 feet away. Take note of the wall which surrounds the wall and the socle upon which the stone memorial rests. The details truly make this a remarkable tribute. It overlooks the Delaware River and at dusk, it is a beautiful view.
