Der Schoene Brunnen - Spring Houses on Waymarking.com

The info tells us that this spring was discovered by Emperor Matthias (1612-1619) at this place when he was hunting here. Because the water was very good there was built a skirting in 1640 for this spring and this spring called "Schoener Brunnen (Beautiful Spring)" gave his name also to the old castle of Schoenbrunn.
The spring house was built in 1758 and was modified in 1771 to the actual form by Isidor Canevale, ordered by Kaiserin Maria Theresia.
The Nymphe Egeria was built in 1780 by Wilhelm Beyer.
