The Wagon Wheel opened as gas station and restaurant in 1936 and as motel in 1938 along Route 66 in Cuba, Missouri. The motel continues to operate. The motel complex is listed as an historic district on the National Register of Historic Places and this sign is a contributing structure in the district.
