Completed in 1943 as part of the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) project, Fort Loudon Dam forms one of nine reservoirs on the Tennessee River that turns it into a navigable waterway from Knoxville, TN to Paducah, Ky. This dam is used for hydro-electric power.
