The station is a standard benchmark disk located at the southern end of Squaw Island on the west side of Buffalo. It is located on a concrete breakwall, 12" southwest of a steel boat tie-down and approximately 15" east of the west side of the breakwall. The surface of the concrete wall is in poor condition, but the benchmark appears to be stable.

To reach from Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo, travel northwest, then north, on Niagara Street (NY Route 266) for 2.5 miles to West Ferry Street. Turn left on West Ferry and cross the railroad lift bridge to Squaw Island and Broderick Park. On the island, turn left and head south to the station on the right.
