To see this amphitheater, take a walk down Reservoir Drive. There you will find the natural amphitheater, and the Highland Bowl on your left. Many special performances and events during the summer months are held here. There is a statue of Frederick Douglass overlooking the amphitheater and this block of Highland Park is known as "Frederick Douglass Square". Frederick Douglass, famous for his diligence to abolish slavery, was important to the history of Rochester as he owned a home just down the street from this park and upon his death in Feb. 1895, he was buried nearby in Mount Hope Cemetery. I was not able to find any signs indicating the name of this bandshell, however, some internet research turned up the name of "Highland Bowl Amphitheater".
