Moat Farm is a very old house which was once The Old Rectory. It stands opposite the church in the small village of Swineshead, Bedfordshire.

The house was built around 1600 constructed on a timber frame.
The former rectory, now used as a farmhouse, is an ancient plastered building of brick and timber. When it was undergoing restoration in 1846, a copy of the Solemn League and Covenant (signed by the then Rector of Swineshead) was discovered in the roof where it was, perhaps, hidden by the cautious rector of the time.
A complete renovation was carried out 60 years ago by the present occupants who changed its name from Glebe Farm to Moat Farm.
