Nationals Park is the ballpark for the Major League Baseball Washington Nationals. It is the first LEED-certified green stadium in the United States.
The facility was opened in time for the 2008 baseball season-opening game against the Atlanta Braves on March 30, 2008. It is located along the Anacostia River in the Navy Yard/Near Southeast neighborhood of Washington, D.C. and replaces the RFK Stadium as the Nationals' home ballpark.
The new ballpark cost $611 million to build.
