This Renaissance Revival style courthouse occupies a square at the edge of downtown Schuyler. Its architect, George A. Berlinghof, designed many of the public building constructed in Nebraska during the early years of the 20th century.
The courthouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.
