The Village War Memorial was erected after the First World War with a broken off limestone column to represent the cutting off of the lives of those who were killed as a result of war. Two more names where added to remember casualties of the Second World War.

I had to research why this memorial had no top. This is the most unusual War memorial I have seen. Someone had put some thought in to the design of this memorial.
