LeConte Hall, home of the Physics Department, was designed by John Galen Howard as part of his original Beaux Arts campus plan. The building sits next to the Campenile in heart of the U.C. Berkeley Campus. It is also the location of the former offices of Oppenheimer and Ernesto Lawrence (after whom the Lawrence Labs are named).
LeConte recently underwent extensive seismic retrofit, and much of the interior layout is different than originally designed.
