Camp Eau Claire was located on the Eau Claire County Junior Fair Grounds in Altoona Wisconsin. The prisoners were German and the camp was run by the Army. Captain Hodges was in charge. The POWs were brought in to adress the labor shortage in the area. They picked corn and peas and worked in the Lange Canning Plant. The photo is the last building left standing. The site is no longer used as a fair grounds.
