This obelisk is dedicated to the historic fort and is inside the state park near Wetumpka, Alabama. It dates back to 1912 as best can be seen, although the writing is somewhat deteriorated on the obelisk itself. Nearby it are signs designating the fort as a landmark, and a marker noting nearby Fort Jackson as well.
