Located in the "Urn Garden" a sunken garden near the Main Mausoleum.
Description: Maybeck was a prominent SF Bay Area Architect and a leader in the Arts and Crafts Movement at the turn of the century. He is probably best known for designing the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco for the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition. He also designed numerous brown-shingle bungalow residences in the Berkeley Hills, a style that typifies the community.
Maybeck was a professor of engineering at UC Berkeley, and also mentored architects Julia Morgan and William Wurster.
