The East River Mountain Tunnel carries I-77 through East River Mountain and connects the states of Virginia and West Virginia. It is over 5400 feet in length, making it the 7th longest twin highway tunnel in the United States.
The "actual" border crossing on the interstate would then be in the tunnel. The photo locations are the two welcome signs at each end of the tunnel. The above coordinates are for the southbound Virginia sign, while those for the northbound WV sign are with the photo in the gallery.
