This beautiful 15 acre park is divided into 4 yards: an entry yard, 1.5 acre training yard, a 1 acre small dog yard, and a 12 acre main yard. The main yard features crushed gravel walking trails throughout. Roughly half is mown while the other half is natural for dogs who like a more wild experience.
Poop bags are provided throughout the park and trash cans are located at several locations within the park. A drinking fountain is provided in the entry area. Benches and small shelters are spread around the mown area.
Daily permits can be purchased for $5 on site. Yearly tags can be purchased down the road at Cedar Rapids Animal Control. The cost is $25/year (calendar, not from when purchased) and there is are $5 discounts for spayed/neutered dogs, as well as dogs that pass the
K9COLA recall test. You must provide proof of current vaccinations, including rabies tag #, to buy a yearly permit tag.
Park hours: 7am to dusk. Busiest times are weekdays between 4-7pm and weekends. The park is large enough to spread out so it never seems crowded.
