The Historic Baker Plantation House built in 1852 is on old Highway 40. It was spared being burnt when the town of Danville Mo was burnt down by the Confederate Army. There was evidence that the house had caught fire but the family put it out. The house remained in the family until 1964. It was an antique store for awhile. The property is currently for sale, your chance to own a piece of history. Visit (visit link) for more information
