According to research, the Hollywood Theater opened for business in 1934 and has always been known as the Hollywood Theater. It is a second run movie theater, however, it was one of the first in the area to upgrade to Dolby Stereo and was able to do some first runs when other theaters who hadn't added Dolby yet were not able to run those movies. It is a single screen theater with 600 seats, which often times are full due to their policy of low admission, which are usually $1.50 per person. The owner of the theater also owns others in the area and has been in the theater business since the mid 1960's. Research of movie theater review websites indicate that this theater has a good reputation regarding price, friendly staff.
