Organized in 1844, the present building was completed in 1911.
Built by Roland Skinner, a local carpenter, the church is noted for the high-quality pine used in it's contruction. In 1852, John Crowther, an early settler, deeded the six acres of land that include the church and cemetery, which was established ca. 1860.
