Hill is used in winter time both crosscountry and alpine skiing. Walking paths can be found at the slopes of the Kokonmäki hill.
Hill is mostly natural but the top of the hill is manmade. Highest point of this hill is now about 56m above the sealevel.
Town itself has about 48 000 inhabitants. City center is the second oldest in Finland dating back from 1380 when Porvoo got its cityrights. River Porvoonjoki runs between the hill and the town center. Hill side of the town is under major building process. So the old industrial area with that red tile building may encounter some chances in future to come.
