I was visiting a nearby historical marker and spotted this memorial monument. It is located near the Poplar Avenue gates to the Memorial Park Funeral Home Cemetery. They chose a nice spot for the monument, located on a slight hill, looking out over an area of the cemetery not overly crowded with headstones. The landscaping of the area adds to the peacefulness and provides a nice area for meditation and reflection.
