95 miles of the Appalachian Trail passes through Shenandoah National Park which is in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA. The Park is divided into the South, Central, and North Districts.

The highest elevation on the AT at 3837' is located in the Central Division at an intersection with the Stony Man Nature Trail.

Public accommodations are nearby at Skyland Lodge which is open from late March to late November.
