WEST PEA RIDGE - Overlook Orientation - Orientation Tables on Waymarking.com

This is stop 5 on the Pea Ridge Battlefield tour.

This overlook at "Big Mountain" Also known as Pea Ridge shows the great distances required to move troops between Bentonville at 11 miles to the west and Fayetteville at 29 miles to the south.

The triangular markers remind me of triangulation stations.
I wonder if the mappers took that into consideration when doing them?

I also have a Point of Beggining Benchmark that looks like em too.
You can see for miles on most days from this lookout as well.
