The Adam fountain in the eastern section of the lower gardens, and a similar Eve Fountain in the western section were installed in 1717. The statues in the center are both copies of Antonio Rizzi's works decorating the Doge's Palace in Venice.
Adam, surrounded by jets of water, stands on a pedestal in the center of an octagonal pool. The fountain has had no significant changes since it was placed here 250 years ago.
