Opened in 1926 as Lincoln Fields, the Balmoral Park Race Track originally ran thoroughbred horses. Visitors from the early days of the Dixie Highway would be hard pressed to find many differences with the track today.
The red brick structure with the red tile roof has been well maintained over the years.
There is one major difference though, over time, the race course slowly transformed itself into a harness racing track where, today, it is licenced to only run harness racing.
It also provides a site for simulcast wagering for many other race tracks throughout the US and Canada.
