The River Lune Millennium Park consists of linked cycle ways and footpaths, artwork, interpretation stations, improved signs and viewpoints. It stretches about 15km along the river.
It was a multi-agency project but with a lot of the funding coming from the Millennium Lottery Fund. Most of the route through the park follows the old rail line so is traffic-free except for a few crossings. It makes a great trip cycling up and back along the river, with many sights to be seen. Several of the sculptures are fun as well.
