From the Chicago Tribune, Dec 15, 1935: "The WPA project will provide work for 35 men, including laborers, carpenters, masons, and supervisory foremen. The project will include a large shelter...32x17 feet...and will be open on all sides with overhanging eaves so as to provide protection against sudden storms."
