Clifford Allison comes from a racing family. He is the son of NASCAR legend Bobby Allison, brother of NASCAR star Davey Allison and nephew of NASCAR Driver Donnie Allison. Clifford was making his way up the racing ladder by competing in the ARCA an NASCAR Busch Series recording his best Busch Series finish in 1991 at Bristol when he finished 6th. Clifford Allison’s racing career and life was cut short when he was fatally injured during Busch Series Practice on August 13, 1992 at the Michigan Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. Clifford Allison is buried in the Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, Alabama.

Clifford Allison was born on October 20, 1964 and is the youngest son of NASCAR Legend Bobby Allison. Clifford followed in the footsteps of his father and old brother Davey Allison and competed in the ARCA, and NASCAR Busch Grand National Series. In 1988 Clifford served as crew chief of his father and the team won the 1988 Goody’s 300 at the Daytona International Speedway. From 1990 – 1992 Clifford was honing his talent and competing in the NASCAR Busch Series. During his period Clifford earned 2-top ten finishes with his best result being a 6th place finish at Bristol in 1991. On August 13, 1992, Clifford was fatally injured in a NASCAR Busch Series practice crash at the Michigan Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. Less than a year later Clifford’s older brother Davey was killed in a helicopter crash at the Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama. Clifford and Davey Allison are buried just a few yards from each other in the Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, Alabama.
