A General Land Office closing corner survey marker set at the point where the township line dividing T19N R5E S34 and T18N R5E S3 closes on the Baca Location #1 boundary.

This is one of a series of markers along the boundary of the old Baca Location #1 land grant, most of which is now the Valles Caldera National Preserve. The portion of the Baca grant to the west of this marker is now part of Bandelier National Monument. To the east is US Forest Service land.
From Los Alamos, drive west on state road 4 to the county line. The marker is a bronze pipe cap set about 50 feet upslope to the north of the road. There is an orange USFS witness post next to it, which should make it easy to find. There is also a NPS boundary marker (
