Commemorating the only Civil War battle fought on Indiana soil, which took place on July 9, 1863. In hopes reinforcements would arrive and stop Confederate General John Hunt Morgan's march through Southern Indiana, 450 members of the Harrison County Home Guard attempted to delay Morgan's 2,400 Confederate soldiers. The park is open weekly from 8:00 a.m. to dusk.
