Duck Bridge spans the river Esk,and was not built to allow ducks to cross as the name may suggest, but may be named after a George Duke who funded repairs,or it may just be a corruption of Duke.

Duck Bridge is an ancient late 14th.century packhorse bridge, the bridge was closed to vehicle traffic some years ago,and now is only used by pedestrians.
