Haven Hill was the rural retreat for the automotive magnate Edsel Ford family in the 30's and 40's. The old sheep barn has seen better days, and there is a conservation effort underway to restore the barn by the Friends of Highland Recreation Area.

According to Sharon Greene, a founder of the Friends of Highland Recreation Area, "There was an office, a loading dock, a kitchen, a basement, and skylights."
