On July 4th 1949 the Cedar Valley Drive-In Theatre opened. It had a capacity of 500 cars and had one screen. Owned by the Lam Amusement Company. The first movie shown was the southern premier of "The Big Cat" staring Preston Foster. Sound was provided by volume controlled speakers. It featured a playground, mini golf and a swim lake. The theatre was torn down and is now an assisted living center. More information will be added as found.
