In Memoriam
Erected in memory of Benjamin Lawrence.
Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War.
Died April 2, 1826. And his wife, Rachel
Weems Lawrence. Born 1763, Died August 11,
1848 and who lie buried in unmarked graves
about three miles from this spot on land
granted to him in 1783. And in memory of
Elisha Lawrence, son of Benjamin Lawrence.
Born Nov. 15, 1789. Died Nov. 24, 1876.
And his wife, Martha Craig Lawrence. Born
July 14, 1792, Died Jan. 3, 1876. Rosa
Alice Lawrence, Daughter of James Washington
Lawrence, Born Nov. 9, 1857. Died Sept. 20,
1863, and the infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs.
E.B. Ramsay who lie buried on this spot.
