There are twin lions on both steps, two in black and two in stonework.
Kingston Lacey House is now a National Trust property and is located just off the Blandford Road - B3082 in Dorset. The house is an elegant country mansion created by the Bankes family. There are Egyptian collections, a sarcophagus in the garden and beautifully landscaped walkways. Snowdrops adorn the borders in late winter and the grandeur in the house is preserved magnificently.
