This building used to be The Travellers Friend Pub. It is underneath the final approach to Heathrow when they are using the North runway from the East, and is no more than 1/4 mile from the runway so even on the cloudiest of days it's a good day to spot planes just seconds before they land.. If they are taking off in this direction they are slightly off to the south east but still well in view.
