This milestone is opposite the Fox & Hounds pub on the Oxford Road which is a quiet unclassified road north of Donnington. Either side of this site are the A34 and A334 main roads. This little road was once the main route from Newbury to Oxford.

The stone is dated 1776. The inscription is quite hard to read.
