Blinkly Bluff is located within the West MacDonnell National Park, Central Australia.

It is considered probably the biggest challenge on the Larapinta Trail at 1200 metres (3937 feet)(its the only high point on the trail with its own helicopter pad!).

Camping is permitted on the bluff. There a few basic tent sites, but no water, toilets or trees and very hard ground. The tent sites are very exposed and you have to carry your own water up to the campsite so not the most pleasant camping.

We summited the Bluff on day 11 of our end-to-end walk of the Larapinta Trail in July 2005.
