An odd marker. It's an iron cylinder with an embossed cap about 2 inches high embedded in a concrete base. A foot to the north of it is a memorial cross for a worker who died nearby, presumably.

On the SW corner of a Penn Power substation in Hartstown, PA. At the road side is a survey marker sign with no apparent partner disc, unless there is one buried. From this sign walk straight back perhaps 150 feet to the actual marker with another survey marker sign. It can be spotted more easily by the wooden cross. The benchmark is probably old, being of such an unusual style. It would be interesting to know if anyone else has found one like it!
