Joker Marchant stadium (first established in 1965 and named for the current director of Lakeland's Park and Recreational Department) is the home of the Lakeland Flying Tigers, a minor league team affiliated with the American League Detroit Tigers. It is also the Florida home for the Detroit Tigers. The stadium seats 8,500 with a berm area capable of seating an additional 500.
