While making our way through Imlay City, MI in August 2007, we came upon the Lone Elm Service Station. If it weren't for the sign hanging from a pole, you'd have a hard time believing this place was a service station.

Established in 1927, by Robert & Bessie (Talmage) Gass, the Lone Elm Service Station sold not only gasoline, but oxygen, welding supplies and hunting equipment. Their son Maurice and his wife Mary Ann (Smith) ran the business after Maurice's returning home from World War II.

Maurice Gass 82, of Imlay City passed away, September 7, 2007 at his home. (visit link)

Not sure when the Divco arrived, but it looks like it's been there a while. Here's a few sites to check out on the old Milk Trucks.
