The road passes through the tower, the gates of which used to be secured by means of a portcullis and mantraps inside. The little round tower, which protrudes from the top of the square edifice, probably dates from the 16th C, when the tower was in Protestant hands. It is possible to climb the stone staircase to the top and the view is excellent over the Carmargue. Many animals can be seen including Bulls, Horses, Coypu and many types of birds.

Opening times and fees: free access
Cannot park at the site as the road now passes either side of the tower. You can park off the road about 100 meters past it towards Aigues Mortes. Just be careful of traffic as you have to walk back along the road. Road not busy as there is a main road nearby that runs parallel and takes most of the traffic.
