The Santa Maria de La Vision of the Spanish armada was wrecked at Streedagh Strand along with Juliania and La Lavia. English divers found them under shifting sand in 1985.

The Three ships were described as been at anchor in Sligo Harbour before a storm and they must have dragged and lost their anchors when driven ashore.
