Lake Holllingsworth Park is owned and maintained by the City of Lakeland Parks & Recreation Department. The entire lake is surrounded by a 3-mile long paved walkway which offers many great opportunities to see birds and other waterfowl. According to the FBT brochure, this area provides excellent views of many waders from the sidewalk trail. Look for purple gallinules, black-crowned night-herons, least bitterns, and terns in winter. See avocets and sandpipers during low water, black-necked stilts in winter/spring, and white pelicans in winter.

The posted coordinates will take you to the parking lot on the southern end of the lake. There are no other formal parking lots at any other point around lake, however numerous side streets have no parking restrictions.
