St Johns Well is a holy well in the town of Tavistock, situated at the bottom of a natural cliff, there is a continuous flow of water seeping out of the rock. The well is made from Dartmoor Granite. The well probably dates back to the time of Tavistock Abbey and the monks who lived there.

GPS is not good in the area due to tree cover. If you go into the meadows find the footbridge over the River Tavy, from the bridge walk up river on the south eastern side of the river, you will see the well at the bottom of the cliff on the right hand side.
