The Greenodd mineral railway line closed in the 1950's and is now part of the Cumbria Coastal way cycle and footpath,the bridge now minus it's rails,is a kind of beauty spot where most walkers and riders along the route will stop.

The old former line now forms part of the Cumbria Coastal way,and below the bridge which spans the channel river Leven is also a favourite spot for passing dogs who like to have a swim.
