The Lucky Silver Tavern is located along South Tacoma Way, originally a part of US99. This area, south of the city, was where the working class hung out after a long day's work in the more industrial part of Tacoma - the result being that there are a lot more taverns than motels.

It is still a working class area and although the many taverns are open and busy, not much else is.
