This plaque is on the covered walkway on the bridge that separates Progreso, Texas and Nuevo Progreso, Mexico. The Rio Grande River flows along the southern edge of Texas, but this beautiful and peaceful river separates much more than just the land of the southwest, it separates two countries.

To the right, or the north is the United States, to the left, or south is Mexico.
