Linda Vista Community Hospital (now the Buena Vista Lofts) is believed by those in the neighborhood to be haunted by both patients and staff. Rumor has it that the hospital was closed because there were too many unexplained patient deaths. There sometimes is the figure of a doctor in one of the corner windows looking out onto the front lawn. The sounds of a little girl (who reportedly was struck by a car) laughing and playing by the front sign. A faint green light seems to be glowing all night long and the flickering of lights late at night follwed by screams and moans of the tortured souls inside. A foul odor eminates from the third floor and the elevator will unexpectedly start to operate by itself. There seems to be a few cold spots as you enter the building.

I ran into a bit of a problem marking this waymark. I fired up my Garmin to get the coordinates and I know that there is a "margin of error". As I stood by the sign my GPSr was accurate to within 14 feet. As I got closer to the front door I was suddenly off by 58 feet.
Public access?:
As noted above, this location is only available for rental for film shoots. They no longer allow the general public inside. Even Paranormal Reseach Groups can no longer get in. You are, though allowed on the front lawn and there is a stone and brick bench you can sit on.
